Nursery

You will find loving people who will assist you with childcare for any one of our services. We love all of the children who come to us and look at caring for them as a real ministry. This allows the parents who attend the worship services to experience the presence of God in an uninterrupted way. Please let our friendly greeters know that you desire to use the nursery and they will be glad to assist you.

Children’s

Our children’s department consists of grades first through sixth. Currently we have first and second graders as a class, third and fourth graders as a class and fifth and sixth graders as a class. As we are growing, we will eventually have a class for each grade level. We do many exciting things but most importantly teach them about Jesus and how much He loves each one of them. The children learn how to use their Bible and look up their memory verses. As part of teaching them about Jesus we incorporate fun through games and crafts related to the Bible story for that week. We would love to have your child come and join us as we journey with Jesus!!!


Youth

Fellowship First Baptist Church is blessed with a vibrant youth program which includes Sunday School. God has brought together a great team of leaders and teachers to teach our students His Word. The youth group is made up of 7th through 12th grade students. We have six age and gender appropriate classes each having a caring and loving teacher. Our Sunday School classes also get together for outings including athletic events, the zoo, movies, concerts, etc. These smaller groups then become closer within the context of the larger group. Each and every student is important to each one of our teachers. Teachers are always ready and willing to offer a listening ear and a helpful hand. Come join us and see what God is doing in the teenage world here at Fellowship.


College and Career Bible Study

We meet every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. and join the youth group for praise and worship. At 7:00 p.m. we go upstairs to continue praising God in a time of Bible study, discussion, and prayer. We’ve had guest speakers, student led studies, topical and book studies, drama and skits, and Fuel – a video based curriculum series designed to present the complete biblical narrative using all of the digital tools God has given us today in the 21st century. Fuel is all about merging video, music, and a host of technology to make Bible study a rocking’, edgy, life-changing experience. We like to change things up so that we don’t go stale. Come join us!


Young Adults – Rob & Kim Wadlow

This class is made up of young adults. Both couples and singles enjoy coming together to study God’s Word. Rob and Kim, being young adults themselves, are able to relate to their group and apply God’s Word in a way all understand. This group is a fun-loving group that enjoys not only meeting together on Sundays, but informally at other occasions. They  welcome anyone who would like to join them and will make them feel at home. If you are between the ages of 25 and 35, this could be the group for you!!


Foundations For Women - Bonnie Street

This is class is designed for young adult women who may have never had the opportunity to learn much about God, the Bible, or the church. This is a small more intimate group that takes their time learning who God is, about the Bible, the church. Bonnie leads the ladies through special literature to help them in their learning experience. These ladies develop a special love and concern for one another as they also learn to love the Lord. If you are a young lady who desires to learn more about God and His Word with other young ladies just like you, come be a part of this group. They would love to have you.


New Members Discipleship Class

This class is taught by our Senior Pastor. Pastor Chris takes an in-depth look at what we as members of God’s family and members of this local church believe. You will find this 13-week course to be a wealth of information for new members of our church, as well as a refresher class for long standing members.

We will study Church structure, as well as the structure of the Southern Baptist convention. We will look into the ordinances of the local church and even look into the Baptist Faith & message. This course will be a tremendous blessing and help on you spiritual journey. Please call the church office to see when the next course will be offered.


Adult II Couples – Gordon Sturgeon

This group is primarily made up of couples in their 30’s and 40’s. This is a very dynamic group and has one of the highest attendance percentages of all our Bible study groups. They are rapidly growing and welcome everyone whole heartedly. Gordon and Tammie Sturgeon, who are in the same age bracket, lead this group and are able to relate to the issues and problems of families. They look at issues that are pertinent to their lives in dealing with children, work, aging parents, etc. in a Biblical way. They use literature and other teaching aids that address these issues. This group is not only a group that meets to study God’s Word, but they are also a tremendous support for one another seven days a week. If you are looking for support, Biblical teaching, and friends, this is the group for you. Come be a part. They would love to have you.


Adult III Couples – Don Hedges

Are you a couple in that “mid-life” era of your life? Are you looking for a group of other adults to study the Bible and apply the Bible to your life right where you are? This group has grown to be one of our largest Bible study groups in just over a year. They are all couples just seeking to learn more about God and what the Bible has to say to them. They have great discussions as they look at the Bible and work together to apply it to their daily lives. This group thoroughly enjoys being together and they try to get together as a group at least once a month for a casual time together, usually at one of their homes or a nearby restaurant. Come be a part of this growing group, join with them as they seek what God has for them through the study of His Word, the Bible.


Adult II Women – Denise Lutes

This Bible study group actually developed from a short term special study a few years ago. The group bonded together and began to reach out and welcome new members and became a very strong and dynamic group. This group is made up of women aging from about 35 to 50 years of age. They enjoy coming together to study the Bible and to pray together. Denise Lutes, who leads this group, does a great job of leading basically because she is just one of the group. If you are a lady, either single or married, and are looking for a group to study the Bible with, pray with, to be a support, this is the group for you.


Adult III Women – Arlene Maurer

This Bible study group is made up of ladies ages late forties to late fifties. They enjoy coming together on Sundays and “digging into the Bible”. This group of ladies also gets together for other social occasions and once a month for a “meeting” on Thursday evenings. They readily accept ladies who come and join with them. They would love for you to come and join with them and study God’s Word together.


Adult IV Women – Ginger Sikes

This group of ladies range in age from around fifty five to around seventy. Ginger is a great Bible teacher and leads her group in enjoyable Bible studies. The ladies have a lot of fun being together as they meet to study and apply God’s Word to their daily lives. These ladies come from all types of backgrounds and situations – some are married, some divorced, and some widowed, but they have the common thread of needing God in their lives. They love to welcome new ladies to their group and would love to have you.


Adult V Women – Sue Litchfield

If you are a lady who has reached those “golden years” of life, this group is for you. Sue leads this ladies Bible study group with great vigor and excitement. She enjoys searching through God’s Word and covering all the bases. Her class often has some great discussions as they apply God’s Word to their lives. These ladies realize that even though they are older in age, they still can learn about God’s love for them. They would love to have you come and join them and study the Bible together.


Adult V Widows – Lillian Hanning

This is a truly special group of ladies. They have the common thread of being widows. Lillian, a widow herself, does a tremendous job in leading these ladies to help them where they are in life and the trials of being a widow and being alone. Most of these ladies are mid-sixties and older. They have a strong bond with one another and care for one another deeply. They work together to support one another and use the Bible as their guideline. They enjoy reaching out to other ladies who are widowed and sharing the Good News of Jesus with them. If you are a widowed lady and are looking for support and a place to study God’s Word, this is where you need to be. The group would love to have you!!


Adult Men – Rex Beckham

If you are man over the age of 25 and would like to join together with other men to study God’s Word and how it applies to you, this is the group for you. Rex Beckham leads this group. Rex has a tremendous heart to see people learn who God is and for them to see their need for God in their lives. This group of men enjoys meeting together and applying God’s Word to the needs of their lives. They have developed friendships that go far beyond a Sunday morning meeting. Yes, even men, have problems and difficult situations in life. This group comes together, and with the help of the Bible, work to answer the difficulties of life. If you are a man looking for a group where you can learn more about God, the Bible, and develop friendships, this is the group for you.


Adult IV Men

If you are a man in the age bracket of late fifties to early seventies and like to laugh and have a good time, this group is for you. These guys truly enjoy life, being with one another, and studying the Bible. They enjoy being together, not only in the Bible Study setting, but frequently get together for coffee or a meal at a restaurant. They have been known to take their Sunday School class “on the road” to a member’s house who may not be able to get out or even to a hospital room. They truly do love and care for one another. But even as close as they are, they will welcome you into their group. Come and join with them and enjoy!


Adult V Men – Paul Hankins

This is our “senior adult” men’s group, although if you are with them you would hardly call them “senior citizens”. This is a vibrant, active bunch of men. They enjoy being with one another, but mostly they enjoy studying the Bible. This group of men is one of our fastest growing groups! They welcome men to come and join them. If you are in search of some “older” men to get to know and to study the Bible with, here’s your group.
